Let’s go to the farm!
Last June 1st
we had fun learning about farm animals.
We went to
“La Querencia” in Lurín. Here we interacted with cute animals like cows,
horses, pigs, bunnies, hens, sheep, ducks, etc…
We had the
opportunity to ride a horse, feed birds, ducks and hens!
We really
enjoyed this day learning about different animals' shelters. We also could
reinforce our knowledge about the food animals eat and the food animals
produce. But the thing we liked the most was seeing pregnant cows and little
lambs.
It was an
amazing experience!

Happy Early Childhood Education Day!
|
Last week, we
celebrated Early Childhood Education Week. On this special week, Nightingales
had different activities during the week.
On Monday
they worked as a class and elaborated a banner using different materials. On
Tuesday, they marched with the banner around the school saying the phrase “We
enjoy learning lovely things”. On Wednesday, they elaborated a nice craft “a
crown” they decorated it using their creativity. On Thursday, they played
different games in the football court and competed with the other Pre-Kinder
classrooms and on Friday, they enjoyed a show that all the misses did for
them. They enjoyed a nice story that teachers dramatized.
It was a
great week. My Nightingales had a lot of fun.
Here are some photos for you to enjoy.

The Parts of the Plant
|
In science
class, my little Nightingales learnt to identify the parts of the plant.
First, they walked around the garden to identify different types of plants
and describe them like the size, colour and shape.
They were
also able to name the things that plants need to grow properly.
Finally,
they were able to use their own plants that they had planted to name the
parts of the plant.
They did a
really good job!
Here is the
vocabulary.

Healthy Food and Unhealthy Food
In Science class we had an amazing time learning about the food. We learnt the importance of being healthy by eating fruits and vegetables. Children identified and classified the healthy food and unhealthy food.
They also learned a very nice song called “Do You Like Broccoli Ice Cream?”. With this song children could say their likes and dislikes.
Here is the song to sing with your kids at home.
To
reinforce this topic children brought from home some fruits to prepare a
delicious fruit salad. Here they identified and named all the fruits.
Here is the vocabulary to practice at home.
Here
are some photos. Enjoy them

The Community Helpers
In our
English class children have learnt about the Community Helpers and the importance
of each of them in our community. Here
they learnt new vocabulary. They named and identified the most important
community helpers.
Then
everyone shared in class what they want to be when they grow up.
Finally,
they elaborated and decorated a hat of their favourite community helper.
Here is the
vocabulary to practice at home.
