The Parts of the Plant

In science class, my little Nightingales learnt to identify the parts of the plant. First, they walked around the garden to identify different types of plants and describe them like the size, colour and shape. They were also able to name the things that plants need to grow properly. Finally, they were able to use their own plants that they had planted to name the parts of the plant. They did a really good job! Here is the vocabulary.

Healthy Food and Unhealthy Food

In Science class we had an amazing time learning about the food.  We learnt the importance of being healthy by eating fruits and vegetables. Children identified and classified the healthy food and unhealthy food. 

They also learned a very nice song called “Do You Like Broccoli Ice Cream?”. With this song children could say their likes and dislikes.

To reinforce this topic children brought from home some fruits to prepare a delicious fruit salad. Here they identified and named all the fruits.

The Community Helpers

In our English class children have learnt about the Community Helpers and the importance of each of them in our community.  Here they learnt new vocabulary. They named and identified the most important community helpers. Then everyone shared in class what they want to be when they grow up. Finally, they elaborated and decorated a hat of their favourite community helper. Here is the vocabulary to practice at home.

The Family

Hello everyone, In our first week of classes of this second term children have learnt about the family. Kids identified and named the members of their family such as mummy, daddy, brother, sister, baby, grandma and grandpa. They also learnt a nice song called “Family Fingers”. Finally they elaborated a craft about family fingers. Here is the song and the vocabulary to practice at home. Exposiciones

En el área de Español, los niños realizaron una exposición para lo cual trajeron una pancarta, donde hablaban sobre sus gustos, pasatiempos favoritos, comidas preferidas, su edad, colores, lugares de su preferencia, hobbies, etc

Let´s visit the Library!

My dear Nightingales were fascinated to visit the library, where they enjoyed listening some stories. 

After that, children had the opportunity to pick one book and go through it in order to identify some elements. They enjoyed this lovely time and felt comfortable on their pillows.

Visiting the Lab!!

Children were excited to visit the lab. They met the installations of the Lab and observed different elements for experiments and the human body.
